This historic island site is only accessible by boat.
With it's tropical and paradise surroundings.
This island has historical meaning dating back to the 1830's.
The town was destroyed by an Indian attack in the 1840's during
the Seminole wars.
Park rangers are available for special tours in addition to regularly scheduled
tours?

Access to the island.
The main dock is the only place for boats to pull up. Larger boats can use the
mooring balls southwest of the dock. Kayaks/canoes may pull up to the island at
the landing beach north of the main dock.
The water depth at the main dock at mean low tide is 4 feet.
You can walk the island on your own. The island is open year-round from 8 am to
sunset, 7 days a week.
Can I dock my boat overnight?
No, the park is closed after sunset, but you may stay overnight on the mooring
balls.
Indian Key is not a designated campground. It does not offer camping. | |
