Florida Keys Mile Markers:Mile markers are located at each mile along the Overseas Highway (U.S.1). They appear on the side of the road, beginning with number 126 one mile south of Florida City and ending the 0 post in Key West.
When asking for or giving directions , these mile markers help pinpoint a specific location. For example, a location at 94.5 mile marker would be half way between the 94 an 95 mile markers. Also Oceanside or Bayside will be mentioned since the Florida Keys split those 2 body of waters. Remember you can't get lost once your in the Florida Keys, there's one road in and one road out.
